THE  3RD ANNUAL DODO CLASSIC GOLF TOURNAMENT

WILL TAKE PLACE ON FRIDAY   OCTOBER 11th, 2019

HOSTED BY JOSEPH (DODO) NEE FOUNDATION

TO BENEFIT THE JOSEPH (DODO) NEE FOUNDATION, INC.

In November 2015, Joseph (Dodo) Nee was diagnosed with Stomach & Esophagus cancer.  In the 11 months that followed, he fought very hard to beat his illness. Unfortunately he passed away on September 6th 2016.  Dodo had a deep passion for helping others. He encompassed a unique quality to make everyone feel so special. Dodo was very involved in the community and giving back to the nonprofits as well as helping many others.  Since his passing we decided we wanted to find a way to continue Dodo’s legacy and to carry on his dedication and commitment to a community he so loved. We decided the best way would be to setup The Joseph (Dodo) Nee Foundation a nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable organization.

The mission of the Joseph (Dodo) Nee Foundation is to keep Dodo’s spirit alive by giving back to the community where he lived, worked and so loved to be a part of. Through the funds raised and donated by its generous supporters, the Joseph (Dodo) Nee foundation will continue to give back to the families and nonprofit organizations within the Greater Boston area.

A quote that sums up best how Dodo lived his life from Winston Churchill “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

Over the past two years we have been able to give over $100,000 to numerous charities such as the Last Call Foundation, Ed Walsh Foundation, Gavin Foundation, South Boston Neighborhood House, Joseph Dodo Nee South Boston Collaborative Center, Laboure Center, Medicine Wheel, South Boston Youth Hockey, American Cancer Society, the Boston Fire Team for the Pan Mass Challenge and the Colin Joy Project. We have also been able to help many friends going through a difficult time due to illness. We could not have done this without your help and generous donation to the foundation.

On Friday, October 11th we will be hosting our 3rd annual golf tournament at George Wright Golf Course & William J. Devine(Franklin Park) Golf Course and will be gathering at Florian Hall after for a luncheon to celebrate Dodo’s life & raise money for The Joseph (Dodo) Nee Foundation to continue to give back in his name.

We also have Hole Sponsors which cost $250.  We have attached the hole sponsor form if you would like to sponsor please fill out and return to the person/address listed on the form.

Any donations/raffle items would be greatly appreciated as well. Please note any checks can be made out to “Joseph Dodo Nee Foundation”.  We have also attached a form the donations/raffle items.  Please fill out and return to the person listed with the donation/raffle item.
